What’s new

Find out about the latest changes to the Record a vaccination service (RAVS).

12 March 2026

Updates to the Manage users section

In the Manage users section, invited, active and deactivated users are now listed separately.

Invited users are those who have not yet logged in to RAVS. Deactivated users are those who have either not logged in to RAVS for 90 days, or have been deactivated by a lead administrator.

If you do not have any invited or deactivated users, you will just see active users.

This replaces the previous support email address and phone number, which are no longer in use.

Changes to data shown on your home page

We’ve updated the home page you see once you’ve logged in to RAVS.

  • You can now see the number of vaccinations recorded by date, by vaccination type or by site (if your organisation has multiple sites).
  • Select the tabs at the top of the table to switch between views.
  • The totals are based on the date a vaccination was recorded, whereas previously they were based on the date a vaccination was given.

To record a vaccination, use the Record vaccinations section. To edit or delete a record, go to the Records section.

Searching in the Records section by patient name

In the Records section, you can now search for a record using a patient’s details, such as name and date of birth. This is in addition to being able to search by NHS number.

Deleting a record in the Records section

You can now delete a vaccination record in the Records section, as long at the record was created in RAVS by your organisation.
